Heavy Equipment Manufacturer Energy Monitoring

The client needed to track energy used in various buildings in a heavy equipment facility. The system reads data from over 20 electric meters, 2 gas flow meters, and various gas and steam flow transducers. The system calculates delivered energy and demand based on collected data.
The system calculates an electric energy budget for each day based on a monthly energy contract limit and compares actual use to budget throughout the month.
Users can access the system from any location
in the plant using standard browser software.

University Electrical System and Energy Monitoring

The initial scope of this system was to track energy use in a new medical research building. From that initial scope the system has expanded to tracking energy and demand in eight buildings on the medical school campus. System managers plan to expand the system further to cover most of the buildings on campus including electric energy and critical status points on the electrical system.

Steel Mill Electrical System Monitor

The system tracks energy used in two buildings in a steel production facility. System managers are planning to expand the system to cover additional buildings and processes in the plant. The system enables users to log in using Windows Terminal Services to access system readings from any location in the plant.

Gold Mining and Processing Control

This system enables plant operators to monitor and control a gold processing facility and monitor the leaching process in the mine. Gold ore is hauled from the mine to a leach pad where gold is pulled into a solution and then depositied onto filter material. The enriched filter material is then moved to the processing facility where the gold is prepared for transport to their customers. The system monitors almost every phase of the project from the leaching pad to finished gold.

College Electrical System Monitoring

This system monitors campus electrical use in most campus buildings. Data is collected from power electric meters throughout the campus. In addition to energy use and demand, the system calculates a predicted demand for the campus and each monitored building.

Data Warehouse Energy Billing

The client needed to track energy consumed by computers dedicated to different clients in a server farm. The system collects energy use from meters installed in power distribution units and calculates monthly energy use and demand for each unit. Monthly reports provide energy use, maximum demand and cost for each of the client's customers.
